By wvacres on Jun 6, 2010 | In Farm Happenings | Send feedback »

We sheared the sheep today so for all you fiber lovers out there We have some beautiful silver, creamy white and multi colored cotswold wool for you. Raw wool, rich in lanolin is $40.00 for a whole, $25.00 for a half.

The bull calf is really growing, we let him out today for a run and boy did he run. It is great fun to watch.

In the garden: Black Krim heirloom tomatoes, garden peas, sugar peas, asparagus, artichokes, Arapaho blackberries, sage, comfrey, chamomile, onion chives, garlic chives, garlic scapes, onion scapes, egyptian onions, oregano, catmint, raspberries, beets, red, white and yellow onions, soft and hard neck garlic, and spearmint.

Ready to go in is a variety of tomatoes, black cheery, earlygirl, yellow pear cherry, yellow brandywine. Spegheti sguash, brocolli, spinach, and all kinds of seeds (assorted beans, corn, radish, squashes, carrots, melons, cucumbers and much more)

Although we are off to a slow start we will be making it up quick.

Pork on the Way

By wvacres on May 4, 2010 | In Farm Happenings | Send feedback »

Pork will be ready in two weeks!!! All naturally fed, no hormones. Very lean and very good! Check our harvest page for cuts, prices and availability in a couple of weeks.

We currently have fresh oregano and green garden onions ready as well as fresh free range eggs.

I took my first wool spinning lesson today, what a wonderful craft. We sheared Fozzy (one of our cotswold sheep) last Sunday and I am learning to spin her fleece. I'll post of my progress.

Check back with us often as I am constantly changing and improving our site with pics and info.
